Dr. Manthei attended The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan and in 1985, received his medical degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Chicago Illinois. He served his internship at Mt. Clemens General Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and completed his residency in general surgery and Otorhinolaryngology-Facial Plastic Surgery at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. In 1993, Dr. Manthei was awarded Board Certification in Otorhinolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery. His extensive surgical background in Facial Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery and in the treatment of sinus disease has given him a reputation of excellence in his field. Dr. Manthei is frequently invited to speak at many local and national meetings and teaches several university classes. Married with four sons, Dr. Manthei spends most of his free time with his family. As a past president of the medical society, he lectures and teaches medical students and local family practice residents. Dr. Manthei is very active in the Catholic Church and serves as founding chairman for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He enjoys skiing, sports fishing and softball year-round.
